There is now a new iPhone (mobile phone) template available for the Joomla 1.5.x series of releases. Even with Joomla 1.5.16 you will be able to get your client's website onto the mobile stream with minimal effort and budget.
After installation don't forget to enable your cache to take full advantage of Joomla caching technology.
